Act Now

Big Bend region of West Texas is a precious resource, not only for its residents, but for the many tourists that visit throughout the year. We West Texans are pro-business and understand the importance of a global economy but deeply feel a connection to the land, and will protect this special country from those who might wish to disregard its unique qualities for personal profit.

A sleeping giant, the La Entrada al Pacifico has awakened and threatens to dramatically change the Big Bend region forever unless we the people stand with a unified determination for a rational and responsible leadership. Responsible leadership and political representation should consider what is best for the people who rely on the land for their livelihoods and quality of life. We hold passionately and take seriously our responsibilities to guard and protect the land passed on to us from
those who came before us. We expect our elected representatives to take these responsibilities the same as we do.

We are being asked as Texas tax payers, to finance a proposed trade corridor from the border at Presidio to Midland/Odessa, and on to Lamesa. Strictly from an business investment standpoint the residents along the way stand to lose more than gain economically. The region of the Big Bend is a tourist based economy. People come to live and vacation here for its peace and tranquility.
